This is a scholarly piece of research which has the virtues of being fluently written and well argued.
The illustrations are very helpful and informative and along with the author's deep understanding of symbolism make a real contribution to the study of this difficult and often profound mystery.
In order to unravel even the outlying strands of the tangled mystery centred on Rennes-le-Chateau a knowledge of history, religion, languages and geometry is vitally important.  There is a substantial mystery hidden in this beautiful old hill top village.  It is a fascinating quest.  John R. Pollard has created a study which will be of great assistance to all serious and open-minded Rennes reserachers.
